The Friends of Droste Foundation was established in 2018 to continuously draw attention to the cultural and historical value of Droste. We do this by sharing information on this website, recording stories and organizing events.
COLLECT STORIES
Many Haarlemmers or their family members were employed by the old chocolate factory and have special memories of it. We collect their stories so that we can publish them on our website. Look here for a first impression.

EVENTS
*** Open Monuments Day 2026 ***
Following last year’s unprecedented success, we will once again be opening our doors this year on Sunday 13 September from 12 noon to 5 pm.
We would love to share the stories of this
“Resilient Heritage” with you. We organise a 20-minute guided tour every 20 minutes. We’ll take a closer look at both the past and the present.
